Christmas Showbox Appeal 2010

Between the 10th and 13th December 2010 a team of 5 from Vision Romania visited the country to help with the distribution of some of the 1469 shoeboxes collected by Vision Romania.

Along with the shoeboxes, Vision Romania was able to send out 3 dental chairs 2 dental x-ray machines, 7 autoclaves, 10 ultrasonic baths, 3 dental carts, dental cabinets and stools and 2 air compressor units. This important will allow VR to sustain higher levels of dental care in 2011 and beyond, provided by volunteer NHS staff.

We were also able, with donations given to VR, to provide gifts of basic food stuff (flour, oil, rice, sugar, pasta, vegetables etc) to five families that had nothing to eat.(You will see a few photos of their 'house' below...two of the girls in the family attend the camps in summer).  They are rarely, if ever, able to afford meat to eat.  VR provided a family pack of Minced Beef and a large chicken to each of the families, along with a Ponsetia too, as a Christmas gift.  All of this only possible through your kind and generous donations.
