Vision Romania is committed to ensuring that every possible penny raised will be used to benefit the children that often live in conditions and situations that go way beyond our understanding of social deprivation. Over the last 3 years the following donations have been made by Vision Romania: 

Upgrade projects in Casa Harului (where camps are held)                       £20,000

Yearly personal support to Benni & Maria Medrea - Total                         £2,000

Salaries for staff at Bethlehem Centre                                                           £1,500

Support for Romanian Leaders                                                                        £2,500

To pay for children and Romanian leaders to attend camp                       £8,000

To pay for people with disabilities and their leaders to attend camp     £4,000

To pay for evaluation weekend camp for Romanian leaders                     £800

To support weekly work with village children                                              £1,400

To support the work of the Bethlehem Centre                                           £6,400

To pay for the sponsorship for 5 children and help to families  £6,340

Donation to Special Needs School for crafts, games etc                            £130

 In July 2011 a Vision Romania team left for Casa Harului to sponsor 55 children, (8 to 12 years old) and 17 Romanian Leaders to attend the summer camp.   In 2011 a second camp for children with disabilities will be fully funded by your generous donations.  Funding for the camps and other projects is raised by Vision Romania through donations directly to the Charity and by various sponsored and fund raising events (the Ball, Pub Quizzes, Sponsored Cycle, New Year Dook, etc).  Vision Romania also directly supports 5 families as part of a feeding programme for children of needy families through the Bethlehem Centre in Hunedoara. The centre provides after school clubs, showers for the kids and laundering facilities for their clothing (many have only one change of clothes), skills training for adults to help them gain employment and general family assistance.
